Dubai Harbour, recognised at the [d]arc awards
LuxBuro acted as the commercial specifications agent on the lighting of Dubai Harbour — the major maritime district set between Palm Jumeirah and Bluewaters, near Ain Dubai and the Burj Al Arab. The scheme was entered in the [d]arc awards under Spaces (High Budget), and features GHM-ECLATEC from our portfolio: GHM-ECLATEC.
The brief was to light the marina boardwalk, internal roads, parking and plazas to a world-class standard with minimal visual discomfort — while making the poles the backbone of the district’s smart systems, carrying cameras, Wi-Fi and other services.
GHM-ECLATEC Strium poles paired with XEON projectors answered both: an aerodynamic, minimalist form that reads cleanly by day and delivers efficient, comfortable light by night. Delivered as one unified family across twelve configurations from six to ten metres — three to seven projectors per pole — the installation totals more than 1,200 XEON projectors. The steel poles were finished using GHM-ECLATEC’s CAPITAN technology, patterning them without compromising structural strength.
